About our Marketing Plan for Backyard Hatchery...
Our site went online for the first time in mid February ‘09. By February 25th 2009 we were already indexed in Google & Yahoo, and have now run the complete set of directories including live, aol, ask and the list goes on. We’ll keep a running list of our advertising plans & successes here so you can track our progress.

3rd Quarter - We have purchased our first small ad inside of the American Poultry Association Annual Yearbook courtesy of the United Orpington Club who has graciously allowed us space within their member section, therefore greatly reducing the upfront costs associated with placing a nice ad. I am also working toward advertising within the Poultry Press and will keep you updated as we make progress.
4th Quarter - Our APA Yearbook ad looks great. Discussion with www.BackyardChickens.com for advertising has begun.
